Fireworks!

On Saturday we headed to watch the Allen Cellebration fireworks with the Martin's. We knew this was going to be popular so we wanted to watch but not have to get into lots of traffic. Well we found the perfect spot on top of a parking garage. We got icecream on our way so Will and Maggie would have a good treat. We unloaded and were listening to music waiting for the fireworks to start and our car battery died. No worries, Justin called Nissan's road side assisstance and they were there in no time and we were in business again. This was Will's first time to see fireworks and I think he enjoyed them. Can't wait to see them again on the Fourth!

Treadmill

Will loves to pretend he is walking on the treadmill. Most of the time it is put up but Will will say "treadmill down" Once again he likes to be just like his daddy!

Happy Father's Day

Father's day weekend was spent at Grandma and Papa's house. Will enjoyed the weekend because his cousins came and brought thier really fun pool. I coudn't keep Will out of it. He is a fish! We got a family picture which is hard to do lately. Will likes to turn the other way when he sees the camera.

Sunday we had lots of fun outside. It started with some dot painting with Jonathan. Will used all the colors except blue. Jonathan's favorite color nust be blue he used it the whole time!

Swim lessons!

Will and his best buddy Maggie took swim lessons together this summer. I say they took them but as it turns out Ashley (Maggie's mommy) and I ended up learning the most. As teachers we know how to teach but not how to teach chidren to swim. Well now we know, too bad our children didn't learn as much as we did. All kidding aside Will learned a lot but wasn't happy about showing his skills at Ms. Margrett's ( swim teacher) pool. Will would start with not wanting to put on his bathing suit at all. Then to saying "bye bye" and crying throughout the lesson. I know he learned something because he was able to swim between Justin and I at the lake. He was able to blow bubbles and put his head in the water. I am proud of him but sad he disliked going to swim lessons.

I didn't get anymore pictures because I was in the water everyday after this. I have to say Ms. Margrett does a great job teaching because the others in the class learned how to swim. They were a little older than Will so we will try again next year!

Summer 2011 has begun!

Last weekend Summer officially began. I am so lucky to have a job where I get to spend the summer with my little man. We have lots of fun things planned. Will is going to have his first swim lessons. We will be going to library time, and of course lots of time will be spent with his buddy Maggie and cousins Michael and Johnathan.

The Saavedra's invited us over for a swim in thier backyard last weekend. Will loves the water!

After dinner and getting some dry clothes on the kids got to make thier own sundaes. Will loves ice cream so he was really excited.

Last weekend we finally decided to put the highchair away. It was also nice to get some kitchen space back. Will still enjoyed sitting in it but he is getting older so we decided he needed to sit at the table like a big boy. As you can see he was happy about it.

He also got a new placemat. He will take his food and try to feed the dinosaur placemat. Such a silly and cute little boy.

Memorial Day Weekend with the Martin's

On Saturday we went to the lake (Grandma and Papa's house) wfith the Martin's. We all had a wonderful time and Will enjoyed having his best friend/girlfriend at Grandma's house with him. By the end of the weekend Maggie was calling my parents Grandma and Papa too. It was really cute. When we got there the ducks came to have lunch. Grandma fed them bird seed and Will watched. The babies have gotten so big. They are almost as big as thier mom.

After a good nap Will and Maggie got to go swimming. They sure so love eachother!

At one point during the afternoon Will and Maggie were all tucked in on the couch resting. This didn't last too long but it was cute.
